Ashley and Shea had originally planned a large wedding for Spring 2021 until earlier this year life took over and they had to make a life changing decision. A very important member of their families illness excellerated unexpectedly and they had to decide what was most important to them, a large wedding in the Fraser Valley, surrounded by everyone in 2021 or did they want to say their vows to each other in an intimate elopement with the presence of someone who means the world to the couple. They did exactly what I would have done, they had a beautiful intimate elopement in a friends back yard with the most important people in the world to them.
The breeze was filled with laughter, love, hugs and tears of joy. Emotions were flowing for everyone in attendance and there wasn’t a dry house at the ceremony, mine included. It was so touching, personal and intimate. They had their twin boys walk down the aisle together and they safely kept their rings to pass to their mom and dad when it was time to commit their love to each other.
I get emotional at every single wedding, the vows get me but its the look in the bride and grooms eyes as they say their vows that always cause my first tear. Everyones vows are so special and intimate that the looks they share are always of the most purest love.
Ashley and She, thank you! Thank you for the honour of being there to capture these moments of your elopement for you that I know you and your family will cherish forever!
