Kelsey + Josh’s Elopement | West Vancouver, BC

July 23, 2020
Featured  ·  Photography  ·  Wedding

In the midst of a global pandemic Kelsey, Josh, their immediate loved ones and I adventured to an incredible little hidden gem on the Pacific coast on the shores of West Vancouver, BC to watch their eyes fill with tears and their hearts with love as they exchanged vows in an intimate elopement. It was such an incredible wedding that I was so beyond humbled to have been asked to be a part of this and capture the loved that was clearly shared by all for these two and their vows to each other.

The trek to their elopement was so secluded that we walked through the brambles to the Pacific Ocean and listened to the waves crashing on the beach below as they bound themselves to each other in such a powerful way. Just looking through their sneak peeks of their elopement, I’m getting a little choked up with all the emotions flowing (I’m such a sap for a true love story)

After they said their vows in front of their loved ones we ventured back to their family property in North Vancouver and it was so beautifully decorated. They finished out their elopement laughing with, tearing up with and loving with their friends and family and it was so incredible touching. Intimate elopements are absolutely my new favourite way to experience a wedding day. You get to speak with everyone you’ve invited, you care deeply for every person there and it keeps the focus so solely focused on the reason for being there that day instead of getting wrapped up in a big wedding production.

Watch below for a sneak peek into their incredible wedding day (keep your tissues close) the emotions were flying !!

We often tell ourselves we will take the photos when life slows down or when things are easier. But what if you embraced exactly where you are right now? Even if things feel messy or uncertain there is beauty in the transition.

A solo portrait session is a chance to stand still for a moment and honour the season you are navigating. You are stronger and more radiant than you give yourself credit for.
