Hi, I’m Kate.
You’ll be swept up in the romance of your wedding, so let me be your eyes for the parts you miss.
The shared tears you didn’t see because you were exchanging vows. Your grandparents holding hands. The look on your mom’s face when the doors opened. Those moments happen whether you see them or not, and they’re what I’m watching for all day.
I’ll be there with you through everything but during the big moments, you won’t even notice me. The thing couples tell me most is “it never felt like you were taking our photos.” I’ll be there to guide you when you need it but step back when the moment calls for it and keep things light if nerves creep in. If something goes sideways on your day, we’ll navigate it together. A maid of honour’s dress ripped, so out came my needle and thread. A three year old hit their limit at family photos, so I wrapped up early so the kids could run free. Jen and Dave called it my “calmness in high stress situations,” and that’s exactly how your day should feel.
Worried you’ll feel awkward in front of the camera? You’re in good company. Brit and Steve told me they “were not blessed with being natural photo takers” and were nervous going in. The best part is, you’d never know it from their gallery.

A day with Kate, start to finish.
Almost everyone tells me they’re awkward in front of a camera. By the time we actually shoot, we’ll have talked so much it won’t feel like a camera at all. Here’s how we get there.

We plan
Detailed guides, tailored questionnaires, a timeline with room to breathe and a list of the family photos that matter. You’ll know what’s happening before it happens, and you can message me as often as you like. Truly unlimited.

We make it fun
Your engagement session is the warm-up. You learn how I direct, I learn how you two are together, and most couples leave saying it never once felt like having their photo taken.

You forget I’m there
On the day I direct when you need it and blend into the background when you don’t. The big moments are always obvious but its the small and in between ones that will create this time capsule for you.

You relive it, forever
Sessions arrive in three to six weeks, weddings within twelve (depending on your package), in an online gallery you can download and print from. Then you’ll do what everyone does: scroll straight back to the start.

I’ve never said no to a travel wedding and have no intention of starting now. So far that’s meant the Thames in London, the streets of Florence, the salt flats of Utah, sunrise in Mexico and the Rockies around Banff. Closer to home: Tofino, the Sunshine Coast, the Okanagan and every corner of the Fraser Valley. Destination packages are built around the trip, so just tell me where you’re going.
