Jaeda + Jake | Engagement | Jones Lake, Chilliwack, BC

December 8, 2020
Engagement  ·  Featured  ·  Photography

We originally had Jaeda + Jake’s engagement session booked for a few weeks after they booked with me but I think we all know how inconsistent our weather here is in the lower mainland. Plans changed, scheduled opened up and the skies were clear so we made a mad dash out to Chilliwack and explored Jones Lake at the end of November and it was SOOO WORTH IT!

I heard all about their story of growing up together. There aren’t many people who can say that they met their soul mate when they were young but Jaeda was only 13 when she first met and was head over heels for Jake. It was such an incredible and inspiring story and I feel so honoured to be there to capture the bond they share with each other.

Being from a large Italian family, they’ve decided to hold off getting married until 2022 so they can have the wedding that she has always dreamed of.

They braved the freezing temperatures in Chilliwack with me and we ventured along the rocky stores of Jones Lake. It was breathtaking (and I’m not just talking about the bitter winds) They kept each other warm with cuddles and laughter and we captured the true connection that these two have formed over the years. It was truly such an incredible engagement session that I can’t wait for their wedding.

Let's freeze this moment in time, together

Golden hour has a way of making everything feel a Golden hour has a way of making everything feel a little more magical, and this evening with Steph and Stefan was no exception.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Leaving their boys at home, they spent the evening soaking in the meadow, laughing, connecting, and fully embracing just their relationship.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Moments like these—soft light, genuine smiles, and the quiet joy of being together—are exactly why I love what I do. It’s all about capturing the sparks that make your love story uniquely yours.
Golden hour, the ocean at our feet, and the quiet Golden hour, the ocean at our feet, and the quiet anticipation of welcoming a little one—Sarah’s maternity session was pure magic.

There’s something so special about soaking in these fleeting moments, feeling the tide, the warmth of the sun, and the excitement of what’s to come.

These are the memories you’ll carry long after the days blur together, captured exactly as they feel right now.
Cass & Ziggy✨ Their wedding at Poets Cove was e Cass & Ziggy✨

Their wedding at Poets Cove was everything a small wedding should be—intimate, full of laughter, and wrapped in the love of their closest family and friends. ✨

From the gentle island breeze to the heartfelt vows, every moment felt personal and perfectly theirs. Small weddings have a way of making the love and joy feel even bigger, and being there to capture it all was an absolute dream.

Angela & Baron ✨ Golden hour in Stanley Park is Angela & Baron ✨

Golden hour in Stanley Park is already breathtaking… but pair it with Angela and Baron celebrating their soon-to-be “I do’s” and it becomes unforgettable.

The quiet trails, the glow over the ocean, and those little pre-wedding butterflies—it was all there. A session like this is the perfect pause in preparation for the big day, a way to soak up the anticipation and capture the excitement before stepping into forever.
