4 Wedding Photography Tips For Great Photos

February 7, 2023
Ceremony  ·  Photography  ·  Wedding

There are so many things to think of and check off the list when it comes to your wedding, trust me I know!

You’re connecting with vendors, confirming the final details all while trying to remain calm, cool and collected before the big day. Everyone’s priorities are different when it comes to their wedding, but I think we can all agree that remembering your wedding with photo’s to look back on is top of the list (or maybe I am a little biased). Being transported back in, feeling every emotion and reliving the memories is something you want to be able to do for years to come! So, here are my top tips to getting the most out of your wedding photos so you can fall madly in-love with them each time you look back!!

  1. Get To Know Your Photographer
Spend time getting to know your photographer and their style. Find out if they have a signature style or editing that aligns with the look you’re hoping for, this way you have knowledge to create meaningful and unique photos.

2. Prepare for the day
Do a walkthrough of the venue or have an idea of where you may want bridal portraits taken! This will be great to provide to your photographer so they can make sure their shot list includes everything you want to capture.

3. Don’t Be Afraid To Capture Candid Moments
Capture those moments that aren’t posed. These are often the most meaningful and treasured photos. Don’t be afraid to laugh and have fun with your photographer, these moments often make the best photos!

4. Have Fun!
Have fun with your your shots! Make sure to capture the joy of the day, and the fun between you and your loved one!!

Stef + Chev✨ They may have tied the knot on the Stef + Chev✨

They may have tied the knot on the beaches of Mexico last year, but this weekend we brought the romance to the city—and it was pure fire.

Easily one of my favorite galleries I’ve ever delivered. The rain storm cleared just in time for the sun to break through for the evening—and with the wind picking up at the perfect moment, the magic just continued✨

So much connection, so much style… this session was stunning start to finish.

I gave into the tiredness with my pregnancies and didn’t do a maternity session and I wish, every time I capture someone’s story, that I could rewind time and have something beautiful to remember from that last trimester (even if most of the time they just sit in a box and you can just travel down memory lane once in a while)

If you’re on the fence, do the photoshoot! You’ll never regret doing the photoshoot but you can quickly regret not doing it.

You don’t even need to buy an outfit, you can select from my client closet of dresses that fit all sizes🤍
