Charlene + Sean // Whistler Engagement

February 14, 2020
Engagement  ·  Featured  ·  Photography

We met last year for a ‘quick’ meet and greet but ended up chatting and bonding for ages. We then talked back and forth over the months trying to determine the PERFECT spot for the engagement photos. We ended up traveling up the beautiful Sea-to-Sky highway to Whistler, BC. Staying at the Nita Lake Lodge was the perfect destination for us!

From the moment we showed up until the moment we left it was a idyllic winter wonderland! The snowflakes were falling, the lights reflecting and fluffy powder covered every surface. . Charlene and Sean live in London, UK and were scheduled to fly home the day after next so even though there was a winter storm warning, we put on our boots and scarves and adventured the outdoors. After a few clicks of the shutter, we have them snuggled up, having piggy backs and we all laughed until our stomachs hurt and stayed perfectly warm and content. We may have started with calm and collected but we ended with them letting their hair down and rolling in the 2′ snow drifts and giddy with the shots we got!!! So much love for these two! It was the perfect way of embracing the snow storm before flying home to England.

Let's freeze this moment in time, together

This is what growing up together looks like — ch This is what growing up together looks like — choosing each other since they were 15 years old, learning each other, and building a life side by side.
Not many people get to say they met their person so young… but these two really did.
Sometimes you book a portrait session because you’ve grown — and you want to honour that version of yourself.
The stronger you.
The softer you.
The you who’s been through a lot and still shows up with a full heart.
These photos become a reminder of who you’ve become… and who you’re still becoming.
Golden hour really is as magical as it looks — s Golden hour really is as magical as it looks — soft light, quiet air, and the two of you soaking it all in.
This is where time seems to pause and it’s just you, your person, and that glow that makes everything feel unreal.
