Trina + Daryl Wedding in Maple Ridge, BC

September 12, 2020
Featured  ·  Photography  ·  Wedding

What an incredible day!!!!!

These two have spent the last year completely transforming their family property and have turned it into a stunning back yard venue! With countless hours put in by them, their friends and family it truly is a new hidden gem in the Fraser Valley for an intimate backyard wedding. ‘Feet on the Farm’ (can be found on Instagram) is so beautiful and only a few minutes drive from Whonnock Lake, Maple Ridge.

Like many others this year, they had a large wedding planned with many friends and family from out of town and the numbers had to be reduced drastically to meet the new limits. Not only were Grandparents unable to attend but also one of Trina’s bridesmaids was only able to attend via Facetime as she lives in England. There were so many hurdles thrown at them but the day didn’t reflect these struggles at all. Their large wedding dwindled down to be such a beautiful intimate wedding filled with love and laughter.

The girls celebrated their morning with champagne and the guys started off with a shot of whiskey. They were surrounded by friends, family, Facetime and video cameras for those in the UK who couldn’t attend. The sun was shining but beautifully diffused behind the trees while they said their vows that they’ve been perfecting for 11 years <3

We had a lot of emotion, a little calm, a lot of fun with their lifetime friends who all stood up with them and looked incredible and then they celebrated the evening while the sun set beyond the trees and they danced under the stars as husband and wife.

I can’t stop watching and flipping through all of the photos! I don’t feel like we missed out at all not having a videographer – the slideshow to our wedding song makes me relive each moment just the same! Kate, the way you’ve captured our day is absolute perfection. You made sure we got every shot we wanted – even when it got too dark & i didn’t think it would be possible. We couldn’t have picked anyone better & are so thankful for you!!

Not many people get to say they met their person so young… but these two really did.
Sometimes you book a portrait session because you’ve grown — and you want to honour that version of yourself.
